A description in, a finished song out — lyrics, a singer and the backing. This is the part of the market people actually buy, and it is sold by the month far more often than by the call, which is why a catalogue built on rate cards can miss it entirely.

Scores, beds and loops for putting under something else. The rate is usually per second of audio or per track, and the thing that decides the purchase is rarely the rate.
